What to Bring
If you have a resumé or headshot, bring them. It is not a requirement to have either. We highly encourage bringing a bottle of water and a snack. If you are a dancer, bring all dance shoes to the audition.
How to Prepare
Kids and Teens: You will be taught a dance combination by the choreographer. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and to practice. After you learn the combination, you will perform for the judges in small groups.
Kids: Prepare 16 measures of a song. Bring sheet music in your key. An accompanist will be provided. Children will be asked to sing only at callbacks (Sunday, Feb. 9).
Teens: Prepare 16 measures of a song. Bring sheet music in your key. An accompanist will be provided. Teens may be asked to sing at the open call as well as at the callbacks (Thursday, Feb. 20), so be prepared both days.
Song Choice: Please sing something in the style of musical theatre. It is wise to prepare two songs in contrasting styles.
Callbacks: If you are called back, you will be sent an email with detailed instructions. Be prepared to stay for the full day.
