The Muny is the nation’s oldest and largest outdoor musical theatre. Each summer, our talented artists build seven big shows from the ground up, especially for St. Louis audiences. We welcome more than 350,000 theatregoers annually to our home in the heart of beautiful Forest Park, and more than five generations of St. Louisans have enjoyed memorable evenings together in our theatre.

The Muny creates larger-than-life theatrical experiences. Top-caliber Broadway stars have made The Muny their summer home, and blockbuster Broadway shows often make their regional premiere here.

Unlike for-profit theatres that host touring productions, we create a unique cultural experience for our patrons. We cast, direct, choreograph, design, build and orchestrate each Broadway-caliber show exclusively for our 11,000-seat theatre.

At The Muny, the guest experience begins even before the overture: Free preshow entertainment is provided on our three outdoor plazas, where guests can dine, drink and soak in the vibrant festival atmosphere.
