We think everyone deserves to experience the thrill of live theatre. That’s why the last nine rows of The Muny (more than 1,400 seats!) are always free to the public.

Come early, though! Free seats are claimed on a first come, first served basis. The gates open at 7:00 p.m. each evening in Lichtenstein Plaza.

In 1975, Terry and Patricia Gould started making Muny memories enjoying a Muny show on Friday nights. What began as “date night” in the free seats, turned into a family tradition. After Patti’s passing, Terry and their family created the Patricia Wolf Gould Memorial Endowment Fund. Proceeds from the Endowment are being used for a program called Patti’s Pick as a way to honor Patti at her favorite place.

Through Patti’s Pick, ten Terrace A tickets are purchased one night during each show’s seven-day run. Those tickets are then used to randomly bump free seats patrons up to Terrace A seats.

Now, 47 seasons later, if you join us in the fee seats, we hope you will be one of the lucky ones that get to move up closer to the magic in Patti’s honor, making your own memories to last a lifetime.
