FAQ

The Muny is the largest outdoor musical theatre in North America. We produce and present 7 exciting Broadway-style musicals every summer. Many of our shows are ‘whole family friendly’ so everyone can enjoy great theatre under the stars!
The Muny is located at #1 Theatre Dr. in the center of beautiful Forest Park in St. Louis, MO, just off Interstate 64/40.

The Muny has several large parking lots for patrons, including a disabled lot. The theatre borders six park streets that are open for parking unless otherwise marked by the Parks Department (hydrants, pedestrian access, etc.) You can also take the above ground light rail system, MetroLink, to Forest Park and ride a shuttle to the theatre.

The Muny has approximately 10,800 stadium-style flip down seats. The last nine rows of the theatre (1,456 seats) are free. The rest are reserved seats that require a ticket. The Muny is built as an amphitheatre, gently sloping downhill toward the stage at the bottom. As you go lower in the theatre, the tickets increase in price.

Seat cushions are available to rent for a nominal charge. Souvenir vendors on either ramp just outside the seating area have them ready for you.

Otherwise, bring your own blanket and enjoy the beautiful grassy areas of the park close to the theatre.

Strollers should be checked with an usher and will be stored in an accessible area.

Not sure if a show is age appropriate for your child? Look at the ‘Show Guidelines’ section of each show page.

Attire for The Muny is CASUAL (but no bare feet, please). Most people wear dress shorts, khakis, polos, sleeveless tops or summer dresses. As the summer evenings can be warm, we recommend light, loose clothing.
