To be considered for employment at The Muny, applicants must be at least sixteen (16) years of age on or before their first assigned shift. 

This application will be used to hire for multiple departments with a range of hours and needs. You will be asked to rank order the department in which you want to be considered. 

Based on your application, you will be contacted by a representative from The Muny to discuss employment if you are selected for consideration.


Culver Pavilion Restaurant Kitchen Staff

Culver Pavilion provides a dining experience for our patrons. Prior kitchen and restaurant experience strongly preferred. Depending on the role, skills needed for these positions may include knowledge of appropriate knife skill, appropriate sanitation and food handling, and positive and effective communication.


Day Chef & Night Chef – Seasonal

Position summary: The Chefs are responsible for food service at the Culver Pavillion. The Muny’s Culver Pavillion provides quality outdoor dining for Muny patrons before every nightly performance consisting of a high-end buffet, food boards, and dessert assortment. The Chefs must meet food production and time management expectations. Send inquiries and resumes to Director of Food and Beverage Laurie Waterhouse.


Associate Video Designer

Position summary: The Associate Video Designer (AVD) works in tandem with the Video Department Lead and the Designer to produce content for seven shows in a 10-week season. The AVD reports directly to the Director of Production and actively supports the artistic vision of the Video Designer. The build hours fluctuate during the week according to the needs of the production, but we strive to achieve our work within a 40-hour work week. Those 40 hours sometimes take place over the weekends or into the evening. Our goal is to adjust the scope of work to fit the available resources. This work falls under the jurisdiction of United Scenic Artists Local 829, although you do not have to be a member to accept the position.


Video Department Head

Position summary: In collaboration with the Technical Director (TD) and Director of Production (DoP), maintain a safe and consistent operation of all video systems throughout all seven productions. In partnership with the Technical Director, is responsible for video equipment maintenance, inspection and problem solving. The Video Head will run and manage the software and programming to meet the show’s needs. Collaborate with the TD, DoP and Video Design Department Lead to seamlessly run all video assets for each show. Video Head will be expected to adhere to the technical schedule provided. This position falls under the jurisdiction of IATSE Local 6.


Electrician & Backup Programmer

Position summary: Reporting to the Head Electrician and Technical Director, assist the Head Electrician with the hanging, circuit and focus of the season lighting plot and show-specific practicals. Collaborate with the team to create specialty electrified scenic pieces or props; may include but not limited to a working knowledge of wiring practical or scenic pieces, fog machines, strobes and movers. Work with the Board Programmer prior to tech as needed to program cues in the lightboard. May be asked to run the light board for shows. This position falls under the jurisdiction of IATSE Local 6.


Video Content Creator

Position summary: The Content Creator reports directly to the associate video designer and actively supports the artistic vision of the Video Designer. The Content Creator ideally works on all 7 shows in The Muny’s intense 11-week season. The build hours fluctuate during the week according to the needs of the production, but we strive to achieve our work within a 40-hour work week. Those 40 hours sometimes take place over the weekends or into the evening. Our goal is to adjust the scope of work to fit the available resources.
