Automation Programmer

Position summary: The automation programmer will act as part of the automation team responsible for maintaining safe and consistent operation of all automated scenery and axes throughout all seven productions, their related rehearsals and changeovers. The automation programmer will collaborate with the technical director, director of production, stage management and each show’s creative staff to safely create scenic movements and transitions utilizing the TAIT Navigator platform for all show programming and operation. Additional roles will include, but are not limited to, maintenance of the machine and control components of each axis, daily inspections, troubleshooting and other duties as assigned.


Costume Assistant

Position summary: Under the direction of the Costume Director this position collaborates directly with the costume and wardrobe teams and serves as a key member of The Muny’s costume team. The Costume Assistant (CA) in collaboration with the Designers, Wardrobe Heads, and Costume Directors is responsible for creating fitting records (piece lists and photos) and communicating them to the wardrobe heads for each production. 


Costume Production Manager

Position summary: Under the Director of Production, this position serves as a key member of The Muny’s production team. The Costume Production Manager supports the work of the Costume Director, Wardrobe Director, and Wig Manager. This position also collaborates and creatively solves problems with input from the Costume and Wardrobe Directors, the Wig Manager and the Costume and Wig Design teams to facilitate the execution of the Costume Design on time and on budget. Monitor timely progress of staff and projects, while setting high standards of quality.  


Wardrobe Head

Position summary: Under the direction of the Wardrobe Director and the Director of Production this position serves as a key member of The Muny’s production team. The Wardrobe Head is responsible for coordinating the care, management and organization of all costumes throughout the dress rehearsal, performances and strike of assigned productions. The Wardrobe Head collaborates with the Costume Director, Wardrobe Director, Costume Designer and Assistant Costume Designer in the creation of wardrobe plots, and communication with actors and stage management. The Wardrobe Head attends run throughs and rehearsals as necessary to oversee the wardrobe run for rehearsals and performances. The Wardrobe Head is the first line of communication between the costume shop and the dressers; the creation of the costume plot, and the execution of the run.
