Due to high attendance for this call, you must preregister. We reserve the right to close attendance based on registration numbers. Walk-ups will not be seen, and virtual submissions will not be accepted in lieu of an in-person audition at this time. We strongly encourage you to select the correct chorus call that best represents your talents.
Auditions are by appointment only. To request an appointment, please register by following the instructions via THIS LINK on Friday, Jan. 2, 2026, at 9 a.m. CST, and you will be assigned a group time. Deadline to register: Friday, Jan. 23, 2026, 11:59 p.m. CST or when registration is full.
Seeking strong dancers who sing well for The Muny’s 2026 summer season. This audition is open to Actors’ Equity and nonunion performers, ages 18+.
Always bring your Equity membership card to auditions.
The official casting notice and detailed character breakdown of available chorus roles will be shared later.
Preparation
Come warmed up and dressed to dance. A combination will be taught. Dancers should bring character heels, jazz, tap and ballet shoes, as well as knee pads. You may be asked to demonstrate acrobatic skills or tricks if you have them available to you. Dancers will be asked to sing. Please prepare a 16-bar (or less than a 45-second) selection of a musical theatre song in a style appropriate to the season’s shows. Be prepared to sing an additional contrasting selection if requested. Bring sheet music and your book; an accompanist will be provided.
Schedule/Compensation
Performers are cast on a per-show basis. All performers are signed to an Equity MSUA contract and are eligible for full membership. Contract/salary: MSUA Contract. 2026 minimum is TBD pending AEA contractual negotiations.
