ST. LOUIS — Three of the creators of Bring It On: The Musical were in the audience Wednesday night for the Muny production, which runs through Sunday. Lin-Manuel Miranda, Tom Kitt and Amanda Green — members of the musical’s Tony-nominated creative team — attended the performance, and Miranda addressed the audience after the curtain call.

“This is a hard show to do — people fly through the air during this show,” Miranda told the crowd, in his first visit to The Muny. “I don’t think we exhaled the entire six months this show was on Broadway, and it’s such a thrill to see it reborn in this incredible space. We made a lot of calls to make the rain go away, just so we could see it tonight. … We love it so much and hope you did, too.”

After a rain delay, Wednesday’s performance began at 9:20 p.m. and continued uninterrupted.

Bring It On: The Musical features music and lyrics by Miranda (Hamilton, In the Heights), lyrics by Green (High Fidelity), music by Kitt (Next to Normal) and an original story by Jeff Whitty (Avenue Q). Muny Artistic Director & Executive Producer Mike Isaacson was one of the musical’s executive producers on Broadway, along with Kristin Caskey.

Performances of Bring It On: The Musical, presented by Ameren, continue through Sunday, beginning at 8:15 p.m. nightly. Season 107 at The Muny also includes Come From Away (June 26-July 2), Disney’s Frozen (July 6-14), Evita (July 18-24), Dear Evan Hansen (July 28-Aug. 3), La Cage aux Folles (Aug. 8-14) and Jersey Boys (Aug. 18-24).

Single-performance tickets start at just $21 and are on sale at muny.org or metrotix.com, by calling (314) 534-1111 and at the Muny Box Office, located at 1 Theatre Drive in Forest Park.
